The distinctive bright orange color of pumpkin clearly indicates that it's an excellent source
of that all-important antioxidant beta-carotene. Research shows that people who eat a diet
rich in beta-carotene are less likely to develop certain cancers than those who fail to include
beta-carotene-rich foods in their diet. Pumpkin also has another carotenoid, beta-cryptoxanthin,
which may decrease the risk of lung cancer in smokers.

Pumpkin is kind of yellow vegetable. ^^ We bring pumpkin to cook as both food and dessert including juice. So we can say that pumpkin is a useful plant. For me I love to eat pumpkin as a dessert. ^^ For the benefit of pumpkin, there are a lots of goo benefit of pumpkin for our health. ^^ Such as Pumpkins are high in fiber; one cup of pumpkin meat contains 3 grams of dietary fiber, which the body uses to control blood sugar, lower bad cholesterol and aid in weight loss. Vitamin A aside, pumpkins contain high amounts of other essential vitamins and minerals, such as vitamins C and E, magnesium, potassium and iron. There are many benefits of pumpkin. Pumpkins are an excellent source of

If your family celebrates the holidays with a sampling of pies, bypass the pecan and apple and head straight for the pumpkin pie. While all that added sugar and butter aren't doing your waist line any favors, pumpkin is naturally low in fat and calories (one cup contains only 49 calories), making pumpkin a healthy snack (and probably a healthier pie option, too). If plain pumpkin isn't sweet enough, skip the sugar and try adding cinnamon to enhance pumpkin's flavor.

Pumpkin is rich also in calcium. Pumpkin has high amounts of phytosterols
that is similar to our human cholesterol. Pumpkin is rich with L-tryptophan,
an essential amino acid that our body cannot manufacture. Pumpkin seeds
are also great for the kidneys.
