I have know that sleep can help control weight. When our hormone levels are out of balance from lack of sleep, it increases our appetite, making us eat more than we would if we weren't sleepy. There is also concern that lack of sleep changes the way our body digests carbohydrates, which can cause weight gain.

Yes. Sleep, we all love it, especially when you wake up from a great night's sleep. In the past, sleep was often ignored by doctors and surrounded by myths, but now we are beginning to understand the importance of sleep to overall health and well-being. In fact, when people get less than 6 or 7 hours of sleep each night, their risk for developing diseases begins to increase.

Sleeping is the best ways to reboot our body system. 
Taking enough sleep about 7-8 hours a day can have many benefits.
- You will be less likely to get sick.
- You will be more likely to stay at a healthy weight.
- You can boost your brainpower and your mood.
- You can think more clearly and do better in school and at work.
- You can make better decisions and avoid injuries. For example, sleepy drivers cause thousands of car crashes every year.
- You can lower your risk of high blood pressure and diabetes.

When your body is sleep deficient, it goes into a state of stress.
The body's functions are put on high alert which causes an increase in blood pressure
and a production of stress hormones. Higher blood pressure increases your risk
for heart attacks and strokes. The stress hormones also, unfortunately,
make it harder for you to sleep. Learn relaxation techniques to counter the effects of stress.
There are also stress reduction techniques for sleep.

Your body produces extra protein molecules while you're sleeping that helps strengthen your ability to fight infection and stay healthy.Sleep helps keep your heart healthy. Your cardiovascular system is constantly under pressure and sleep helps to reduce the levels of stress and inflammation in your body. High levels of "inflammatory markers" are linked to heart disease and strokes. Sleep can also help keep blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Sleep improves your memory. Sleeping well eliminates these difficulties
because, as you sleep, your brain is busy organizing and correlating memories.
