Should a student have a girlfriend or a boyfriend at university?

It is quite common seen that nowadays there are many more couples walking shoulder by shoulder on campus. Some people hold firm to their belief that the girlfriend – boyfriend relationship at university should not be acceptable because of its bad effect on students’ studies. Nonetheless, I take a different view that the effect may be positive or negative depending on your way to balance the relationship and the school work. To begin with, the relationship between the opposite sexes at university can take some advantages. Except your classmates and roommates, having a special person to love and be loved will make your life at university more colorful and meaningful. Nothing is sweeter and happier when receiving red roses, candies, kisses or hugs from your boyfriend/girlfriend. The honest affection will warm your life away from home. Additionally, you can help each other in life and studies as well. To illustrate, if you have a boyfriend excelling others in studies, he will become your motivation or inspiration to learn harder and better. However, every coin has two sides. When falling in love with everybody, we always want to be together with him/her. Apparently, the time has been divided into two parts. It means that the time we spend on the studies will be decrease. Therefore, if you do not know the way to control yourself and balance your time, your studies will become worse, even you cannot graduate and get pregnant at an early age. Furthermore, a broken relationship can lead to students’ negative attitude. Those who is heartbreaking usually choose suicide to relieve her/his feeling. This may bring much pain to their parents, relatives and friends. To sum up, when being a student, you should prioritize your studies above anything else. Having a boyfriend – girlfriend relationship is not bad; however, you have to balance between the study and the love.

In my opinion, they should be for some reasons; consulting problems, sharing happiness or sadness, etc.
Love is good, if you know how to use it.

I think we cannot disobey the rule of instinct.
So we cannot force students to have lover.
I think love is the thing that we cannot forbid our feeling.
Love is beautiful. Having boy/girlfriend is both good and bad side.
It depends on how we will choose.
Some lover helps each other to study.
It is like encouragement to live happily everyday.
So In my point of view, We should allow students have boy/girlfriend.

I think I have no idea about this.
It's not about what we should do or not.
It's about our feeling and our management.
Nobody can feel that when we love or don't love.
Love is good in many ways. Our mind is more complicated.
Love provides many good things to people who love each other.
It's not only at university or school or work place, but in any time of life that we can get love.
Above all, we can't live without love.
So, we can have someone beloved.
Importantly, we should manage our love and life appropriately.

I think there is no absolute answer yes or no for this question since there are many factors to consider in something like this. As a general rule I don't think it's necessary to avoid a committed relationship during studying at university. Studying in university gives opportunities for meeting people - especially those with similar interests and goals. It's also a good time to figure out what you're really looking for in a long term partner. It's not a bad thing to date during school. I believe it comes down to time management abilities, an ability to manage relational difficulties, the person with whom you've decided to have a relationship, and the boundaries that are set for the relationship. My advice is to be quick to make lots of friends, but slow to jump into serious relationships. If you meet someone and feel "it's meant to be," then it should be able to withstand a few years of being "just friends." Just live life to the fullest of your early adult age have fun and be well educated then true love will come later. That's my thought.

I can't judge that they should have or shouldn't.
It's an individuality of people. It isn't right or wrong.
It depends on their minds, thoughts, reasons and more.
For those who say they should, they have the reasons to explain why.
On the other hand, those who think they shouldn't have some reasons to explain, too.
In my opinion, if they have boyfriends or girlfriends and they can live the happy lives,
it's good to have. But if they have unhappy lives, they shouldn't have.
Because the university students' lives are not so easy.
We have to think of our study, future, and parents.
I think it's better not to have boyfriends or girlfriends but
have many good friends and have a wonderful life in the university instead.

I think it is personal thought. For me, I think if a lover is good for you to make both of you
better at studying or doing a job , you should have the lover. Many couples initially love each other
and do the good things together but some of them make their life worse and they break up finally.
Everyone has a right to think what it should be. However, I think whatever you do, you should
think of the people who love and care you the most , your parent, in order to make them
proud of you.
