| Sore throat is a bad disease that everyone don't like it. So, in this time I got it. I have a sore throat for 4 days. It makes me can't talk to other people because I don't have voice. I want to get better so I do like this tips. -I try to drink hot water or tea mixed honey. -I try to sleep enough. I hope I'll get better soon.

| -Cough if you feel you need to. Holding in the coughing makes it less easy to get rid of. If you don't, the next time you cough will be painful. -Try not to talk too much and rest your throat. Don't shout or sing. Don't chew gum. -Take a hot shower. The steam vapors help clear your sinuses, which are often the cause of a sore throat. -Drink lots of water. Warm Water will help your body heal and will keep your irritated throat moist. -Once you don't feel as bad as before, try to stay upright unless you're sleeping, because you'll find that it'll reduce a lot of the congestion. -Gargle with lukewarm salt water with a few drops of lemon at least 3 to 4 times a day. The salt should be dissolved in the water. Don't go overboard on the salt because it will add more irritation. Add just enough to help clear any excess mucus in the back of your throat. | |

| Home treatment
Home treatment is usually all that is needed for a sore throat caused by a virus. These tips may help you feel better.
Gargle with warm salt water to help reduce swelling and relieve discomfort: Gargle at least once each hour with 1 tsp (5 g) of salt dissolved in 8 fl oz (240 mL) of warm water. If you have postnasal drip, gargle often to prevent more throat irritation. Prevent dehydration. Fluids may help thin secretions and soothe an irritated throat. Hot fluids, such as tea or soup, may help decrease throat irritation. Use a vaporizer or humidifier in your bedroom. Warm or cool mist may help you feel more comfortable by soothing the swollen air passages. It may also relieve hoarseness. But don't let your room become uncomfortably cold or very damp. Use a shallow pan of water to provide moisture in the air through evaporation if you don't have a humidifier. Place the pan in a safe location where no one will trip on it or fall into it.

| Just take a rest and drink a lot of water. It’s an obvious one, but its repeated so often for a reason, so don’t brush it off. Combine it with other natural remedies, and it may boost their effectiveness as well. Make sure you’re letting your body rest, and drink as much fluid as you can! You will need… -A comfy place to curl up -Water, orange juice, more water, herbal tea, and anything else liquid you deem appropriate alcohol and caffeine should be avoided. It's a good idea to have some good books or order your favorite movie. Get cozy, rest, and drink, drink, drink!

| Drink lots and lots of liquids. Drink mostly water, 100% fruit juices, chicken broth, and hot green tea with honey and lemon. The honey helps to soothe your throat while the vitamin C in the lemon galvanizes your body's antibodies to fight the strep bacteria.

| I try to get as much sleep as possible, that is the best medicine.
I am using a paste called Tiffyrub on my chest and sometimes also on the back. It has a refreshing smell and you feel instantly better. During the day I am also using Fishermans Friend and or Strepsil. A cup of hot tea can also make you feel better.
