How to save the electricity?

--Switch off your heater, air-conditioner and lights in rooms you're not using.
--Keep your curtains or blinds drawn at night to keep the heat in.
--Use a door snake under the door.
--Turn off the heater and put on jumper.
--Turn off your electrical appliances at the power-point.
--Turn off the TV and computer when no-one is using it.
--Use energy efficient light bulbs.
--Turn on the washing machine and the dishwasher only when they are full.

This is my tip to save electricity in Summer.
Of course when we say about summer, it's mean hot!
We will find the way to make us cooler. For me if it's really hot that day I'll turn on my air conditioning.
But if it's not necessary, I'll use ceiling fans or windows fans instead of air conditioning.
Because ceiling and window fans use much less electricity than air conditioning.

- Turn off the lights that you don’t need on and use lighter lampshades as they wil make the most of the energy.
- Shower instead of running a bath, as a shower uses much less water and therefore, less hot water and less electricity.
- When you open your fridge door for more than a moment, it loses cold air. Cooling it down again will take a lot of electricity. So be quick and don’t let all that cold air out.
- Ensure all electrical appliances are turned off at the plug when not in use. Some items can still use energy when plugged even if the appliance has been turned off.
