If you are the teacher how do you control your class?

There are many ways to control my class and I have some tips to tell you.Learn
1. the names of your students. This isn't always easy, especially when you change from class to class daily. Kids know that when you make eye contact with them and call them by name, you in control.
2.Start the day with a friendly smile and a "Good morning." Write your name on the board if it's the first day with this class. Let them get familiar with you and always remember that you should set the tone. You'll have a better chance of keeping control of your class as a substitute teacher if you start the day off on a positive note.
3.Keep the students busy. Teachers usually have work mapped out for a substitute to implement. Lesson plans and materials are usually set. Have work ready if there's not enough planned. Looking up word definitions, drawing pictures of what the class has studied and reading out loud are all good fill-ins. Classes often get out of control simply because the students are bored.
4.Be strict in expecting the class to follow the rules, but be nice in the process. Resist the urge to raise your voice when students start to act up. Yelling rarely helps and often just escalates the problem. Let the students know that you care about them and want them to have a good day. At the same time, let him know that you will call the principal if necessary. Tell her that there are consequences for bad behavior, even with a substitute teacher.

Classroom managements is sometimes hard if we do not know exactly what the students want.
I love one of them that is providing games for student.
I can give the game at the beginning of the class, during the activities or the end of the class.
I think student can be controlled in the way that they are happy with the lesson.
Game can make them happy.

-Be fair :Real or imagined injustices can breed resentment and hostility in children. Fairness means ensuring that any loss of priviliges,etc, is appropriate to the original misdeed, it means behaving towards children consistently so that they know what to expect, and it means keeping one's word. Interestingly, children of all ages rate " fairness" as one of the most desirable qualities in a teacher.
-Be Alert : An important characteristic of teachers with good class control is that they appear to know at all times exactly what is going on in the classroom. They move frequently around the room . and insist children wait in their places when they have difficulties with their work rather than besieging the teacher who became isolated from the main action by a detachment of hand-waving children.
