How to be a good English learner

A way to be good in English is self- studying from any entertainment media. Focusing on learning the academic content is sometime serious and boring. Therefore, relaxing yourself with the entertainment media can not only give you the enjoyment but they can give you a lot of awareness. The entertainment media comprise of movie, music, TV show, soap opera, etc. You can choose any single thing that you like because everyone will learn well with anything you are interested in. For example, you listen to the international music that you like, you will not listen only one or two times. That means your ears hear the same song many times until you can sing and understand the meaning of that song at the end. Another example is watching movie which contains such as the language, culture, feeling, etc. You will learn and understand indeed.

A good learner should ........
- Never afraid to make mistakes and doesn't mind to be corrected.
- Takes notes and Sets goals to learn English (how much time, when, where, how).
- Practices his English with Native Speakers as much as possible (when travelilng, with tourists or friends).
- Watches T.V in English and listens to music in English.
- Creative to find new ways or methods to learn more
(Example: reading magazines in English, recording himself, using the internet or a software).

Speak as often and as much as possible! This is the best way to learn English! There is nothing better than conversation to help you improve. Whereas, you can practice reading, writing, and listening on your own, it’s obviously better to speak English with someone. The best way to do this is to be in an English speaking environment. Take an English course in an English language school, or better still, learn English in an English-speaking country.
Reading English is something you can do to help you learn on your own, outside of the classroom. Have a dictionary with you (English/English is best.) to look up new words and then write them down in a notebook. Try to use these new words in conversation,it's a great way to learn.
This really is a skill that needs to be worked on everyday. Like speaking, it’s better for you to be in a totally English speaking environment. Full immersion is the best way for you to improve your level. Again, nothing can beat learning at an English language school abroad.

Actually, for me, the success is the basis of everything, and to reach your goal, is the true meaning.
I think it's not easy to be successful English learner, if you don't have real and strong will.
That's what i'm doing with the english, I got into the habit of practicing english every day.A good learner will never afraid to make mistakes and doesn't mind to be corrected,takes notes, explains with his own words concepts and always makes sure he gets the point.You have to sets goals to learn English (how much time, when, where, how) and practices his English with Native Speakers as much as possible .

In 2558 the Thais are going to join the ASEAN community so if you want to be good at English you must focus in the develop of speaking skill. To speak English well we have to try to speak without fear. The biggest problem most people face in learning a new language is their own fear.  They worry that they won’t say things correctly or that they will look stupid so they don’t talk at all.  Don’t do this.  The fastest way to learn anything is to do it – again and again until you get it right.  Like anything, learning English requires practice.  Don’t let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.

There are many ways to be a good English learner.
English is part of my personality. There is no separation between the English language, and me. We exist together. It’s not separate from me, it’s part of me. When I use English, it’s my language too.
I might not think in English every day, but I know that English exists in my sub-conscious and it helps me to understand and to communicate effectively.
English gives me the freedom to become a different person when I use it.
I love to really listen and investigate the English that I hear. When I study something in English, I feel like a detective solving a puzzle.
English gives me an opportunity to take risks, and I know that when I take risks I learn more quickly.

Label things in your house. Grab that pad of Post-Its you have laying around that you rarely ever use and start labeling the things around you. Even if you already know the simple stuff, do it anyway. Just thinking of these things in English before you think of it in your native tongue will get you thinking faster and when it takes less effort, you'll feel the progress you're making. Keep a notebook. As you go about your day, there's bound to be English words that you run into that you don't fully understand. This is when you whip out your handy dandy notebook! Scribble down the word and then when you go home, you can look it up. Instead of thinking, "Gosh, what was that word I saw on the menu at the cafe?" you'll flip right to the page and learn a new word!
