How can you be a good English learner?

It is undeniable that many people in the world have to learn a variety of languages. Even though all countries have different languages, a lot of people would use English for communication because it is an international language. Almost 60% people in the world use English regularly. Moreover, English in each country has different accents and usages. Therefore, learning English is very important nowadays since it helps us improve ourselves to get new chances. In particular, English language is a compulsory course for every student to learn in school, college, and university. Three of the successful ways to be a good English learner are keeping on practicing English as much as you can in daily life, enhancing English skills from a variety of sources, and having a chance to study abroad.
The first successful way of being a good English learner is keeping on practicing English as much as you can in daily life. Many English learners have to force themselves to use English in daily life both inside and outside the classroom. When you have an opportunity to face with foreigners, you need to dare talk with them so that you will get familiar with accent. If you frequently speak English, it makes you express what you say without translating into Thai first before speaking. I would like to recommend is to talk in English when you are alone. Talking to yourselves when you are alone could be a solution. The learners would create an imaginary situation first. It could be a situation where you introduce yourself in public, or where you call an English native speaker for a job interview. Talking to myself in English is the tactic that I most frequently use in my daily life. Apart from speaking English, the learners should emphasize how important English grammar it is for people to learn English language. English grammar books should be along with the learners. At least two or three hours a day, you are supposed to review English grammar since it is one of the crucial components making the English learners expert.

Set yourself a goal and keep it in mind, it will motivate you to learn.
For example, think about why you started to learn English.

I think a good English learners sometimes should find out the knowledge outside
the classroom because teachers can't give us everything. For example, I find it
easier to learn so many English vocabulary and expressions and usage by watching movies.

Actually, for me, the success is the basis of everything, and to reach your goal, is the true meaning.
I think it's not easy to be successful English learner, if you don't have real and strong will.
That's what i'm doing with the english, I got into the habit of practicing english every day.
There are a lot of people who say they want to improve their English but at the same time they ignore basic language rules such as capitalizing the beginning of a sentence or words like 'English' and 'I'. Now, if somebody is not willing or able to develop the habit of starting each sentence with a capital letter, how can they ever become 'successful' English learners? It's like the person who wants to become a maths professor but at the same time doesn't want to learn how to count from 0 to 100.
Once you have developed bad punctuation or spelling habits it's very difficult to correct that behaviour later on. As a learner of English is absolutely crucial that you stick to basic spelling and typing rules because they way you compose a written text tells the reader a lot about your person. If you ignore basic language rules it's very likely that you do the same in other areas of life as well. I would not hire a person who has bad typing habits because that person will probably ignore large parts of the employment contract too.

I think to be a good English learner is to be aware that English is not your mother tongue and to not be shy or embarrassed to speak it out. I used to be really shy to face with the foreigners. Once my father pushed me hard to work with some foreigners at my hometown. It was a hard time for me yet it got me over my shyness. I'm thankful for my daddy for pushing me that day. Otherwise I would be shy like a wild girl. Once I get over my silliness and shyness. I start to practice English for the every start step is learning skill. I practice and force myself to listen to music, movies, news anything that is spoken in English. At first I have no ideas what they are talking about, but I keep doing that everyday. Now I get familiar with it and my English is improving more each day. So my trick to be a good English learner is to not be shy and practice until you get familiar and start loving it. Then you will be speaking as it was your own mother tongue language.

For me, the way to be a good English learner have to be practice hard.
Practicing not means only about study in classroom.
You can practice everywhere such when listening English song or watching movies.
Moreover, you have to open your mind to accept English to your heart.
Don't look down your self. Don't think that its difficult to learn, just make it fun.

Learning styles is very important to you.

As learners we know that different people have different preferences and styles when it comes to studying. I see, as a teacher, where I need to adapt my choice of material or style to suit different students. Things which work fantastically well with one student might fall completely flat with another. We read much about learning styles and it is true that we learn differently but I feel it is also true that not all learning is necessarily fun and exciting and it is important to take the rough with the smooth. In terms of language in particular, a certain amount has to be repetitive and recycling, revisiting is very important. Regular practice is also important. Some tried and tested methods do work and it is a case of finding the most suitable way of utilising these. Whether pen and paper, iPhone or laptop is our preferred tool is unimportant as long as students get the results!

For me, I agree couldn't agree more
with Aey 3EN and Aom 3EN. ""Practice make
perfect."" This sentence is still meaningful
since the past up to now. Pratice is the best way
to be a good English learner. There are many ways
to practice English that everyone have known.
However, we did not to do it such as listen English
music, watching English movies and reading English books
etc. If we would like to be a good English learner
let's start to do it.

Play word games to improve your spelling.
You can use word tins, word games, games on the computer,
or even just having a simple 'Spelling Game' with your friends
or family when you're on long journey.
(Choose a hard word, then the other person has to spell it correctly).
