| These are something I do when I get sick : Eat Very Lightly Or Not At All - With most illnesses, the appetite is diminished. This is a natural response of the body. Energy is needed to fight off the "bug" and the body doesn't have the energy to process food. Give your digestive tract a rest! Eat Raw Garlic - If you can stand to chew a whole clove, that’s great, otherwise, chop the garlic up and put it on top of any food you like (not sweets or dairy.) Put the garlic on after you cook the food, as heat destroys most of the beneficial properties. Try these: steamed greens (collards, kale, Swiss chard) with olive oil and garlic on top, dip bread into olive oil with chopped garlic and black pepper in it, or cook some pasta and sprinkle chopped garlic on top. Drink Plenty Of Fluids - This is standard good advice. You can clear the toxins from a "bug" out of your system with large amounts of filtered water and herbal teas. Fruit juices are not good choices as they have a high concentration of sugars in them. If you do choose to drink fruit juices, dilute them with more than half filtered water. Get Rest As Soon As Possible - Many people ignore the early warning signs of illness and keep working until they "drop." You will take longer to heal if you allow the illness to get a foothold. If you feel a sore throat, headache, congestion, etc., coming on, take it easy. If possible, take a day off from work. This may prevent you from having to take three days off later on.

| The important thing to remember when I am ill, is to take care of myself first. I will do not worry about other people or their problems. Then I will drink lots and lots of fluids, whether it be Gatorade and water, or both. I will take a rest because if I do not take the time for myself, I will take a lot longer of a time getting well again. I will take a medicine and do not take a hot or warm bath because taking a hot or warm bath can cause violent vomiting and even a blackout. Just bundle up and lay in bed reading or sleeping until you are able to sweat out the fever. If I do not feel better, I will go to see a doctor.

| I think the best thing I should do during I got sick is getting enough sleep. I should stay in bed, keep calm and quiet. Use the strength my body has to fight the illness, rather than waste it trying to do laundry or go to work when I'm sick. Moreover, drink lots of fluids is also the good way. If I want to get rid of all illness symptoms I need to stay hydrated in order for your body to fight off sickness and infections. Even if my stomach is upset, drink small amounts of fluids all day long. (Try sports drinks if water makes you sick to your stomach.)

Whether you have a cold or the flu, there are things you need to do in order to help your body recover in times of illness. 1 Drink lots of fluids. You need to stay hydrated in order for your body to fight off sickness and infections. Even if your stomach is upset, drink small amounts of fluids all day long. Try sports drinks if water makes you sick to your stomach. 2. Stay in bed and keep calm and quiet. Use the strength your body has to fight the illness, rather than waste it trying to do laundry or go to work when you're sick. 3. Treat your symptoms. Use pain relievers to relax sore, aching muscles and use over the counter cold remedies to treat coughs or sinus issues.

| - Drink lots of water! - Eat toast. Don't put anything on your toast except butter. - Get in your favourite chair, in front of your TV and watch some of your favourite shows. - Read a book - it will help take your mind off the pain.

| When I was sick, I try to eat good food because a sick person should drink plenty of liquids and eat a lot of nourishing food. If the sick person feels like eating, let them. Most sicknesses do not require special diets. Chicken noodle soup would be better because it does not fill the sick person so then they still have an appetite. But over all, any type of soup that won't give the specific person a allergic reaction is good.
