What are advantages and disadvantages in city life?

Big city is where you can see many vehicles,many skyscrapers, many people with a hurry pace of life. That place can fascinate us very much due to its light and luxury.Nowadays, more and more people want to live there because they see many advantages. Indeed, in a big city, people can have the best chances to work as well as can enjoy the best service and entertainment. In a big city, people can take the chances to study and work best. There are many good University for u to choose in a big city. There you can express your ability to study what you like. Moreover, when you graduate, you also find it easier to find chances to get a good job with good salary, that is quite difficult in small cities or countrysides; because there concentrates many big companies and groups. In addition, in a big city you can enjoy the best service and entertainment. Lives in a big city are quite luxurious but you don't have to be worried when you are sick or suffer a disease because there you can find good doctors for you, as long as you have much money. What's more, in a big city you can enjoy new entertainment such as new games or luxury games. Many people can argue that living in a big city makes them tired with noise and dash. They like the slow pace of life in a countryside. But I think that you can live there for a long time because the young always like to enjoy new things and want to have much money, which is very difficult to do in a countryside. However, when you get older, especially when you retire, a countryside will the best choice to live.

7. Shopping.

DISADVANTAGES
1. Crime rates in urban areas are usually higher than in suburban or rural areas.

3. Little or limited access to outdoor activities (hunting, camping, hiking, skiing). However, many large cities have easy access to the ocean, large rivers, or large lakes, so boating and fishing are often available to city dwellers.
4. Public schools in large cities tend to be poor; the best public schools are usually in the suburbs. Some rural schools are also of poor quality.
5. People in rural areas more often are able to walk to work or to work at home than people in urban and suburban areas.
6. The cost of living in large cities is often very high. Many residents never have the opportunity to see theatrical productions or to attend concerts because they cannot afford them, more or less nullifying this advantage.
7. You're more likely to be able to buy healthy food in a rural area than in the city, or to grow your own.

Disadvantages:  
1. Pollution: Air is more polluted in a city. It gets polluted in many ways, people cannot breath in pure air. Besides this, there are water pollution and sound pollution.
2. More violence and crime: More violence and crime take place in a city, the criminals do not hesitate to commit crime, violence, killing, hijacking and so many crimes and anti-social activities.
3. More traffic jam: Sometimes people in a city get stuck in a traffic jam and as a result they suffer more.

Advantages:  
1. Better scope of education: There are more schools and colleges in a city. So there is better scope of education.
2. More and better medical facilities: In a city people get more and better medical facilities than the people of village. In a city there are more hospitals and clinics .there are more qualified doctors in a city.
3. More opportunities for work and employment: In a city there are more opportunities for work and employment. There are many offices, industries and factories in a city.

There were several advantages and disadvantages of city life in the 1800's. For one thing cities were often crowded and dirty. There were many people living in one area which made for a lot of people getting sick. However some advantages of this lifestyle were the opportunities. People living in the city had more opportunity to find work and also had more opportunity to go to school as they were not expected to work on the farms. They also had an easier way of getting anything they needed whether it was food or supplies.
Cities are more congested than the suburbs or the country. Residents may be forced to live in tight quarters near noisy or inconsiderate neighbors. Congestion can result in more pollution and difficulty in getting from one place to another in a timely fashion.
-Cities are a hub for industrialization. There are more factories and businesses, making the areas more polluted. Additionally, the increased population in cities makes the ground more likely to be marred by litter and heavy use.

Advantages of city life are First, life in the city is more convenient. More goods are available and stores are open later. Also, there is better public transportation so it is easier to get around. I can find almost anything I want easily in the city. Second, there are more ways to spend leisure time in the city. There are many places I can go to meet friends and have fun. Finally, and most importantly, the city offers more educational and career opportunities. The city often attracts the best teachers and the best companies. There is also a wider choice of jobs so it is easier to move up the career ladder.
However, the disadvantages include high cost of living, poor life-work balance, noise pollution and stress.

if you're the right person for it. Not everyone can handle it
but if you're independant, it's a good place for you.
If you don't mind public transportation,
there's really no need for a car, which is a huge advantage.
If you're looking to meet new people, like going out to bars and restaurants
,and don't mind all the noise and traffic,
then there aren't many disadvantages to living there at all.
Talk about disadvantages to living in a city
Disadvantages of city life: Noise & air pollution,
hectic life schedule, expensive food, expensive property,
high property rents / taxes, too much traffic etc.
and I also prefer village life to city life.

disadvantages ( for me) :
- too many traffic jams
- not enough large green areas inside the town
- a brisk lifestyle, too stressful
- cost of living : expansive rents and sometimes outrageous prices of shops in some tourist areas.
- gentrification : some very charming areas are completely losing their original population and soul
- dirtyness : there's a been quite a debate here about the deterioration of cleanliness over the last years due to reorganisation of cleaning services. More could be done.

Advantages :
- network of transport : whether to go in town (buses, subways, taxis, ..) or to go somewhere else
- cultural vitality : city life is vibrant,festivals, events, nightlife, concerts , etc.
- open minded people
- the city is still full of small quality shops near you
- the diversity of neighborhoods, a lot to discover in and around town and a city that never ceases to amaze you by its beauty.

Disadvantages:

4) it is very loud and noisy because of the cars but if you live in a closed neighborhood then you should be just fine. Also the car's smoke might drive you insane if you are a person that prefers to walk instead of drive.

Also, there are a lot of interesting things to do and places to see. For example, you can eat in good restaurants, visit museums, and go to the theatre and to concerts. What is more, when you want to relax, you can usually find a park where you can feed the ducks or just sit on a park bench and read a book. All in all ,city life is full of bustle and variety and you never feel bored.
However, for every plus there is a minus. For one thing, you might have a job, but unless it is very well-paid, you will not be able to afford many of the things that there are to do, because living in a city is often very expensive. It is particularly difficult to find good, cheap accommodation. What is more, public transport is sometimes crowded and dirty, particularly in the rush hour, and even the parks can become very crowded, especially on Sundays when it seems that every city-dweller is looking for some open space and green grass. Last of all despite all the crowds, it possible to feel very lonely in a city. In conclusion, I think that city life can be particularly appealing to young people, who like the excitement of the city and don't mind the noise and pollution.
